Psycho City is an action-packed game set in a dystopian version of New York City in 1991. The streets are overrun with drug-crazed gunmen, muggers, and junkies, making the city unsafe even for criminals. Players take on the role of a dedicated police officer determined to clean up the city.

The storyline revolves around the player's quest to dismantle an organized crime syndicate led by the notorious Mr. Big. The player's family and partner have been victims of hired hitmen, adding a personal vendetta to the mission. The game challenges players to navigate dangerous streets where even trash cans can be deadly traps.

Players must achieve three primary objectives: eliminate threats, collect money and stolen goods, and ultimately locate and defeat Mr. Big. The gameplay involves strategic movement and careful decision-making, as players must manage resources and avoid booby traps.

Psycho City was developed by Charles Bystram and released by Players Software in 1989. The game features graphics and code for both Spectrum and Amstrad platforms, offering a challenging and immersive experience for players.
