Treasure Island is an action-adventure game inspired by the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. Released in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum 48K, it offers a unique arcade-style experience set against the backdrop of the story's memorable scenes.

Players take on the role of Jim Hawkins, who must first evade the dangerous Blind Pew to board the ship Hispaniola. Upon overhearing the crew's mutinous plans, Jim must navigate through challenges to reach Treasure Island itself.

On the island, the quest for treasure begins at the stockade built by adventurers. Jim must outsmart murderous pirates and find Ben Gunn's cave. The journey unfolds across a 'Treasure Map' displayed on screen in 64 sections.

Once the treasure is found, it needs to be transported to the ship anchored in Spy Glass Cove. The game concludes with a score reflecting the player's speed and combat skills, encouraging replayability for a perfect score.
