The game allows up to three players to take control of giant monsters: George the gorilla, Lizzie the lizard, and Ralph the wolfman. The narrative begins with an accident involving experimental food additives at a fast food restaurant, leading to the transformation of ordinary customers into these colossal creatures.

The gameplay involves climbing skyscrapers and demolishing them while avoiding military forces. Players must navigate through various cities, smashing buildings and consuming anything edible, from goldfish bowls to humans, to maintain their energy levels. The energy bars at the top of the screen indicate each monster's stamina, and players must avoid consuming inedible items like toasters and TVs, which cause damage.

As the buildings are destroyed, they eventually collapse, and players must leap off to avoid being weakened by falling debris. The military, including troops and helicopters, constantly attempts to stop the monsters, adding to the game's challenge. Players can also engage in combat with each other, adding a layer of competitive strategy to the cooperative gameplay.

If a player's energy depletes completely, their monster reverts to human form, and they must exit the screen in embarrassment.
