Druid is an arcade adventure game released in 1986 by Firebird. It is often compared to the game Gauntlet, but offers a deeper experience with its unique spell-casting mechanics. Players take on the role of an aging druid tasked with destroying four skulls of immense evil power, which are spreading decay across the land.

In Druid, players can cast a variety of spells, including Water, Fire, and Electricity for offense, and Key, Invisibility, Golem, and Chaos for more strategic advantages. Each spell has limited uses, tracked by a counter on the screen, adding a layer of strategy to the gameplay.

The game features various types of demons that attack on sight. Players must choose the right spells to defeat these creatures, as some are resistant to certain types of magic. Energy can be regained by standing on Pentacles of Life scattered throughout the tower, and items can be found in magically trapped chests.

One of the standout features of Druid is the ability to summon a Golem, a magical servant that can be controlled by a second player or through keyboard commands. The Golem can follow, wait, or be sent to attack enemies, providing a tactical advantage. The game received high praise for its engaging gameplay, earning a 90% rating from CRASH magazine.
