Action Game Amaurote - Clear the City from Insects

Amaurote is an action-packed isometric maze game released in 1987 by Mastertronic Added Dimension. The player takes on the role of an officer in the Royal Army of Amaurote, tasked with clearing a city overrun by giant insects. The game's setting is the capital city of Paradise, which is divided into 25 districts, each infested with insect colonies.

The player navigates through the city using an armored vehicle called Arachnus 4, equipped with radar and a two-way radio. The main objective is to destroy the insect colonies using bouncing bombs while avoiding unnecessary destruction of the city infrastructure. The game provides a challenging environment where strategic planning is essential.

There are three types of insects: Queens, Scouts, and Drones. The Queen is the primary target, capable of producing new insects. Scouts search for intruders, alerting the Queen if they spot the player. Drones are the most common, tasked with defending the colony and collecting food for the Queen. Players must carefully manage resources and tactics to succeed.

Amaurote features a unique gameplay mechanic involving the use of bombs. Players can request additional bombs, repairs, or even a super bomb via the radio.
