Deactivators is a strategic action game released in 1986 by Reaktor. The main objective is to deactivate bombs placed within five different buildings. Players control droids to navigate these buildings, each with a unique layout and challenges. The top of the screen displays two adjacent rooms, while the bottom shows a map of the building with droid and bomb positions.

Players must transport bombs to the exit, often requiring coordination between multiple droids due to the complex layouts. Each building contains rooms that may not function until the correct circuit boards are installed in the computer room. These boards can activate essential elements like lights and transmitters.

The game offers various movement options, including doors, hatches, poles, and matter transporters. Players can choose between beginner and advanced levels, affecting factors like guard speed and bomb timers. If a player fails, they can restart the last level with a zero score.

In addition to managing bombs, players must avoid robot guards that patrol the buildings. Guards can be temporarily disabled by making them fall through hatches. Successful navigation and quick bomb disposal are key to advancing through the levels and achieving high scores.
