Hydrofool is a 3D action and puzzle game released in 1987 by Faster Than Light. The game takes place in a massive planetary aquarium called DEATHBOWL, which has become polluted. The player's mission is to help the character Sweevo empty the aquarium by pulling four main plugs, activated by special objects.

Players navigate through different levels of DEATHBOWL, using whirlpools to move downward and bubbles to ascend. The game involves seeking and collecting items, solving puzzles, and avoiding or eliminating enemies. Weapons with limited ammo can be found to aid in these tasks.

The game features a unique isometric maze design, requiring players to strategize the sequence in which they pull the plugs to avoid creating inaccessible levels. Mechanical lifeforms in the game can rust upon contact with water, but this can be temporarily reversed by using oil.

Music for Hydrofool was composed by Rob Hubbard, and the game was developed by Greg Follis and Roy Carter. It was designed for the ZX Spectrum and supports various joystick interfaces.
