Black Beard is an action-platformer game released in 1988 by Topo Soft. The game is set on the high seas, where you play as the infamous pirate Captain Blackbeard. After a night of heavy drinking with his fellow pirate Barbarossa, Blackbeard discovers that a valuable treasure map has been stolen from him.

The main objective is to infiltrate the ship H.M.S. Victory, now under Barbarossa's control, to retrieve the stolen map. Players must navigate through four levels of the ship, using weapons like knives and pistols to fend off hostile pirates. The game challenges you to find the chest containing the map while avoiding or defeating enemies.

Weapons are strategically placed around the ship. Knives can be used indefinitely, while pistols have limited ammunition. Players must wisely manage their resources to progress. Collectible items such as extra lives, immunity potions, and torches aid in the mission. The torch is crucial for firing a cannon to block enemy reinforcements.
