Automania is a classic platform game released in 1984 by Mikro-Gen. The game introduces players to the quirky world of Wally Week, a character tasked with assembling cars from various parts scattered across a store. Players must navigate through different levels, collecting necessary car components while avoiding obstacles such as bouncing tires and unsafe gangplanks.

In Automania, players control Wally Week as he attempts to build ten cars, each consisting of six parts. The game begins in a store area where players must identify the required parts and collect them by moving over them. The challenge increases as players must jump over gaps and various objects strewn across the floors to reach the relevant parts.

The game features a menu screen with options to turn music on or off, select joystick controls, and enter demonstration mode. Players start with three lives and can earn extra lives by completing cars. However, there's a time limit for each car part, and exceeding this limit results in losing a life.

Automania also includes a competition aspect, where players can win prize money by achieving the highest score. The game was later adapted for the Spectrum in 2001 by Alessandro Grussu, adding to its legacy in the gaming community.
