Ghost Hunters is a classic action-platformer game released in 1987 by Code Masters. The game is set in the eerie Nightmare Mansion, owned by Professor Twilight, who offers a reward for anyone who can rid the mansion of its ghostly inhabitants.

Players take on the role of a character whose twin brother, Chuck Studbuckle, has gone missing after accepting the challenge to clear the mansion. The mission is to navigate through the haunted rooms, defeat various ghouls, ghosts, and zombies, and ultimately rescue Chuck.

The game features a unique two-player mode where one player controls the character's movement while the other handles the gun sights, using an anti-matter Phantom splatterer to combat the undead. The TERROMETER tracks the player's fear level, affecting their MACHO ENERGY.

Players must find hidden switches disguised as objects like goblets and scripts to activate lifts and explore further into the mansion. Magical potions can be found to replenish lost energy, adding a strategic element to the gameplay.
