Telethugs ZX is a 'run and gun' game originally developed for PC by Pedro Paiva in 2019, now adapted for the ZX Spectrum by Amaweks. This adaptation marks a significant collaboration in the project 'The Most Hated in Videogames,' serving as a tribute to Paiva's contributions to indie gaming.
The game offers five stages filled with action-packed 'run and gun' gameplay, featuring challenging bosses at the end of each level. Players can experience a simulated auto-scroll environment, enhancing the dynamic nature of the game. The ZX Spectrum version retains the colorful graphics that were a hallmark of the original PC version.
Available in two versions, 48K and 128K, the game caters to different hardware capabilities. The 128K version includes eight AY tracks, providing a richer auditory experience, while the 48K version offers three beeper tracks. Both versions include the main content, such as the intro story, stages, and ending screens.
Music plays a significant role in Telethugs, with tracks adapted from various artists, including Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise' and RZO's 'O Trem.' These adaptations pay homage to the original artists while fitting seamlessly into the game's universe.

Telethugs is a "run and gun" game originally created and published for PC by Pedro Paiva in 2019, and now ported to the ZX Spectrum by Amaweks. This is the first true result of our collaboration on "The Most Hated in Videogames," and it was also made as a tribute to Pedro's extensive work as an indie game developer.
