Sanxion - Arcade Shooter Game for ZX Spectrum

Sanxion is an arcade shooter game developed by Softstorm Developments and published by Thalamus Ltd in 1989. The game is available in English and Russian languages. Sanxion takes place in the Arctic Circle, where a dying alien sends a powerful radio transmission to Earth. The source of the transmission is quickly determined and the Americans are the first to reach the crash site of the alien spaceship. It is revealed that the alien belongs to a galaxy-wide Empire that is fascinated by mankind's technological progress. However, the Empire fears that humans will bring aggression and barbarism to the galaxy. To prevent this, a Culture Technician was sent to manipulate mankind towards nuclear destruction. When the Technician's cover is blown, Earth's leaders establish Project Damocles and propose Operation Sanxion, a defense corps to protect the planet from the imminent conflict with the Empire.
