S.D.I. is an arcade game developed by Source Software Ltd, Software Studios, and published by Activision Inc in 1988. The game, designed by Ross Harris, is set in the context of the Ronald Reagan Strategic Defense Initiative and combines strategy and arcade action. Players are tasked with defending their country from enemy nuclear space weapons and preventing a global catastrophe. S.D.I. features both single and multiplayer modes, offensive and defensive levels, and over 300 different animated enemy sprites.
