1943 is an arcade shooting game developed by Tiertex Ltd and published by Go! in 1988. It is available in English language and is playable on ZX Spectrum 48K. The game is set during World War II, specifically the battle off the west coast of the Midway Islands. Players take control of a P38 aircraft armed with six secret weapons and engage in a titanic struggle against the battleship Yamato and its defenses. The objective is to shoot down enemy units and collect POW symbols to increase firepower. The game features a smart bomb that destroys all enemies on screen and the ability to roll the plane to avoid destruction.
