Action Game Hypsys for ZX Spectrum

Hypsys is a classic arcade game developed by Technoarts and released in 1989. The game is characterized by its intense action and high difficulty level, catering to joystick enthusiasts. It features two independent loads, designed to provide maximum variety and challenge to players.

The storyline is set in the aftermath of the fall of the Royal House of Goriok. The imperial army of Hypsys, led by the powerful deity from distant constellations, has been idle for years. To prevent rebellion, Yem-Sular, the Priest of priests, revives an ancient bloody ritual where warriors compete to the death for ultimate honor and wisdom.

The gameplay involves reaching the end of the second load, requiring players to navigate through various stages, each with unique competitors and attack styles. Completing the first load provides an access code for the second, ensuring players must conquer all challenges to succeed.

Hypsys supports multiple control options, including Sinclair and Kempston joysticks, and redefinable keyboards across different platforms like ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC. The game also offers two different weapons in the second part, adding to its complexity and strategic depth.
