Star Wars is an arcade shooter game released in 1987 by Vektor Grafix and Domark Ltd. The game is based on the famous Atari STAR WARS coin-op and is available for various platforms including ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64/128, Amstrad CPC, BBC 'B' Micro, and Atari ST. In the game, players take on the role of Luke Skywalker and pilot the X-Fighter space ship to eliminate the Death Star. The gameplay consists of three sequences: Dogfight in Deep Space, Through the Towers, and Down the Trench. Players must shoot down Tie-Fighters, survive laser tower attacks, and hit the exhaust port to successfully complete the mission. The game features scoring, highscore list, and different levels of difficulty to choose from.
