Ciclopes - ZX Spectrum 48K Game

Ciclopes is a game developed by Apenao in 2013 for ZX Spectrum 48K. It is a simple game created upon request from the author's 4-year-old sons. The game features two cyclops characters playing a pong/football twist, with the planet Saturn serving as the ball. The controls for the game are QAZX and PLNM. In addition, the game includes another title called Coches, which is a super sprint twist for two players. The controls for Coches are the same as Ciclopes, with the addition of the Y key to toggle between manual and automatic mode. The game also allows players to switch between different courses using the H key and change the color of the cars using the G key. One notable feature of the game is the author's first assembler routine, which eliminates sprite flashing by XORing the sprites one byte at a time. Despite some tearing, the sacrifice is accepted to improve gameplay. Overall, Ciclopes and Coches provide a simple yet enjoyable gaming experience for young children.
