Codename MAT II - Arcade Shooter Game for ZX Spectrum

Codename MAT II is a 1984 arcade shooter game developed and published by Domark Ltd. It is the sequel to Codename Mat and follows the story of Mat, a pilot of the Earth's most advanced combat ship, Centurion II. Mat's mission is to defend the Karillium Mines from the Myons, a hostile alien race. The game is set in the Terramaya war, where both sides are battling for control over the precious substance called Karillium, which is essential for sustaining life in the universe. As the sole manned defender, Mat must hold out against the Myon onslaught and protect the Energy Grid, which transfers energy from the star Calest to the Karillium mines on Vesta. The longer Mat can hold out, the more Karillium will be mined. However, if all four satellite rows in the grid are broken, the game ends.
