Sentinel - ZX Spectrum Game

Sentinel is an arcade shooting game developed by Kevin Flynn and published by Abacus Programs in 1984. It is available in English and Swedish languages and is playable on ZX Spectrum 16K and ZX Spectrum 48K hardware. The game offers two versions, with the second one being more challenging and faster-paced. To load the game, players need to type LOAD"SENTINELa” & ENTER or LOAD"SENTINELb” & ENTER, with each version taking approximately 1 minute to load. Sentinel features an operational ship controlled by the player, which can rotate left or right using the 'A' and 'S' keys, respectively. The ship can thrust, fire a photon-cannon, launch guided missiles, and activate a force field using different keys. The objective of the game is to amass a score of at least 5000 and defeat the enemy by obtaining hits of at least 1000 points. Players must protect the Sentinel system, a gateway to their galaxy, from enemy attacks during periods of relative calm in the asteroid storms.
