Adventurer #06: Презентация игры 'DEATH WORLDS: TORISTAG INVADERS RETURN TO HOME 5'

K.KAV software presents its new game: "DEATH WORLDS: TORISTAG INVADERS RETURN TO HOME 5" ("СМЕРТЕЛЬНЫЕ МИРЫ: ВТОРЖЕНИЕ ТОРИСТОИДОВ. ДОРОГА ДОМОЙ 5")

According to the scenario, the game is a continuation of "RTHЧ". But in terms of genre, the game will be a strategy. If the machine's resources allow (minimum configuration: Spectrum 128 + FDD, clock frequency 3.5 Mhz), the strategy will be in real time. Currently, the program can handle up to 64 objects simultaneously with the simplest logic (without distant searches and wave algorithm for trajectory calculation) without "lagging". (Four in each game tick with selective screen reconstruction.)

The estimated release date for the game is: late spring - summer 1997.

So, after you liberated the planets from the robots (RTHЧ), the Toristag Empire invaded the territory of the confederation. After bloody battles, our side won. But, as known from the novella to RTHЧ, the Toristoids have another galaxy, and it cannot be left like this. That is, the war is to total victory. Due to the presence of advanced early detection technologies for moving large volumes of mass, we cannot transfer a sufficiently large number of troops there without losses on our side. However, on the border of galaxy A-37, there are several planets. They previously belonged to the emperor of the Tagonian empire, who did not recognize its surrender. The emperor led a pirate clan, which was then destroyed. The Council of Civilizations recognized the planets as Free Commercial Worlds, where all civilizations had equal rights, although they were officially listed under the DES confederation. These planets have a large reserve of radioactive ore and various minerals. Wars are waged over the possession of the planets, but under strict rules that do not allow the use of the latest technologies. That is, the technological level must not exceed "2". If a powerful hyperjump controller can be assembled on these planets, it will be possible to transfer our troops here and finish off the toristoids. You are provided with a legend that you are a free entrepreneur and are in no way connected to the DES army. Your resources are minimal. Your task is to eliminate all competitors here and make the planets closed, thereby ensuring the transfer of troops.

Most likely, there will be 10-15 levels (as far as the SPECCY resources allow). Currently, up to 4 opponents are reserved simultaneously. In addition, there are fierce giant monsters roaming the planets that devour everything in their path (two types). They will hinder your agricultural activities, damage oil rigs, and mining equipment. The program anticipates the presence of up to 40 types of various equipment. If the computer's resources allow, there may also be aviation. (And another +10-15 types.) Naturally, there will be factories for processing raw materials and assembling equipment. In addition, there will be a powerful commercial level in the program: trade ships will arrive to you, to whom you can sell everything except the base :-). A wide range of prices will allow speculation. From traders, you will be able to acquire both equipment and technologies for its production, as well as raw materials.

As of 10.02.97, the commercial level is 70% ready, the strategic level is 25 - 30%, 80% of working graphics, and 30% of images for object descriptions. An artist is needed, preferably in Yaroslavl.
