In this section, we need to talk about... that's right, spectrums. Ours. And of course, about yours. That is, if you want to tell everyone about your favorite spectrum that you have, then write boldly! Describe it in detail, tell everything, hide nothing - also talk about its features (if any)! Since this is the first issue, I'll try to start by talking about my zx, to see how it will look...
I bought the case from bck-486 (min-twr) because I liked it, it's so beautiful in front! The power supply is also a PC one - some ultra, 230 watts. (One PC guy cheated another and gave it to me). I made a board on which I put the output part of the connector and connected all the wires + I also put pins for the power LED on it. I have three drives - two fives (Mitsubishi and Mitsumi, both switched from HD to DD) and one three (purely DD, very old), the label where it says who made it has disappeared somewhere, but there are a lot of hieroglyphs on it, probably Japanese too, almost silent by the way and very fast! It has no front panel, someone broke it off, but I found another one. It doesn't fit, of course, but I just lay it on top, and when I take out the diskette, I also pry it off for a while. Actually, my spectrum is - scorp256. It was given to me (in slightly broken condition) by las from flash inc. (where did you go, respond!). The wiring is from 08.93 (errors of wiring original 01.93 have been fixed), it's not branded, the board is the color of cepobatoro. I soldered all the through holes for reliability, and then immediately covered the whole board carefully with flux (not sorry!) (like - protective coating). Because of this, my "scorpion" became a truly terrifying color (read - sinister!). I installed the output part of the connector from cuctemhara, but it has a step of 2.54, so nothing good came of it (I realized that later). But it's black in color, not blue! Beautiful! I put a quartz at 14.Зmhz, it's so shiny - beauty! I soldered a lot of blocking capacitors - npemhora, to make everything work stably (all yellow)! There is no panel for AY8912, but next to it on the field stands a big panel for 2149, and on it, actually, the YM2149 itself. Big and black! There is also a panel under Z80, and it is from TOSHIBA (TMPZ84C0OOAP-6) and does not heat up at all! ROM - 92-94 SSM v2.7b (DEPROTECTED) (bought in St. Petersburg at "Yunona"). I soldered a small panel on kp11 (from which the ttl-rgbi is removed), from it I remove these very rgbi (nu-style!) The printed connectors on the board (both system and drive) are carefully soldered for better connection quality. The ribbon cable to the drives is a PC one, gray. I made an adapter so that it could be connected to the "scorpion" without modifications. In front of the case, I have a toggle switch that connects the drives (three or five to "drive A"). I placed the toggle switch in the hole from the keyboard lock (we don't need such nonsense). I unscrewed it and inserted the toggle switch there. And there's no need to dig around in the ribbon cable, the wires connect instead of the drive jumpers (dsO-4), easy and simple! (and beautiful). I made reset and magic buttons on the keyboard (took them from two dendy). The connector has 15 contacts, the wire is 2.0 meters, the monitor is mtc, born in 1990, ega, made in taiwan! It amazes my eyes with its contrast, bright - preяркиm (and clear) image! It heats up like an iron from behind. But there is no iron inside it - I checked! I made the amplifier based on ts180 (who doesn't know it, this is a powerful transformer from tube TVs!) and tda1554. It took a long time - it turned out great! (all efforts went into making the case) and I spent even longer making a speaker for it (it only has gdn25). It turned out even cooler. I'll tell you more about this later.
Features: sometimes (when it works for more than an hour) if you reset and press enter, instead of "128 tr-dos" it resets again, like pressing reset again! However, if you exit tr-dos from basic, everything is ok. It can be fixed by turning it off for five seconds and turning it back on. Such a uhtetecha thing! Well, that's about it, write descriptions of your zx units! Everyone is interested (probably). I'm definitely interested!
