We welcome all readers of OBERON!
Continuing our active work both in Moscow and across the country in the field of ZX-SPECTRUM, our company has started an active campaign to promote powerful multimedia computers of the AMIGA family in the Russian market. This work is being carried out in collaboration with the already well-known organization PKC "COMPUTERS FOR THE POPULATION".
In Moscow, we invite everyone to visit the Exhibition-Consultation-Sale of AMIGA computers organized by us, where you can not only buy a computer at the lowest prices in Moscow (and Russia), but also receive professional consultation on any questions you may have. And if you are not yet familiar with the AMIGA computer, you will be able to fully familiarize yourself with this wonderful computer and see it in action. We can also offer you a wide range of the latest software, from games to powerful publishing and graphic systems.
At our company, you can choose the computer you need and purchase various software.
We will also help with the upgrade from A600 to A1200, accelerator upgrades, and more. A warranty is provided for all products purchased from us. If your computer breaks down (although this is almost never the case with AMIGA), and the warranty has already expired, we will help you with the repair of the computer. We have connections with professional masters in this field.
In general, AMIGA is a "white" assembly computer, assembled in Europe, not in various corners of the world like China, where components for PCs are produced, and if an AMIGA has worked for a month, it will work for 10 years.
Now, for all interested readers, we provide a brief description of all the AMIGA models for sale. Additionally, at the end, you will find our price list, which details the prices for all possible types of components and peripherals. Remember that prices tend to decrease, and the model of the computer you like may already be a bit cheaper than indicated in the price list...
So,
AMIGA 600 - an ideal machine for people who know nothing about computers - just insert a disk into the drive and everything loads automatically, no commands to type. A great alternative to the Spectrum - it costs only slightly more, but offers many more possibilities! A huge number of games, demos, etc. You can work in simple text editors, graphic editors (up to 4096 colors), compose music in Pro-Tracker, etc. (4 DMA channels at 8 bits, sounds better than Sound Blaster 16 Pro on PC!), work with networks in text mode (Fido, Internet, etc.). Extremely convenient for copying protected disks. Price: 149
AMIGA 1200 - most software is currently written specifically for it. A "bare" A1200 is already significantly better than A600, you can already draw graphics in 16.8 million colors, play more advanced games. In general, more, more, more. A fully 32-bit computer. Internet graphics work. Compatible with A600. Price: 399-495
AMIGA 1200 + Fast RAM - AMIGA with expanded memory. Works three times faster than a "bare" AMIGA 1200. You can almost fully work in the system, all system programs work perfectly. You can compose multi-channel music (up to 256 channels, 14 bit Hi-Fi stereo). Price: 499-595
AMIGA 1200 + Blizzard 1230/50MHz + 8MB Fast - today's AMIGA, AMIGA with an accelerator on a 68030/50MHz processor and additional memory, works 10 times faster than a "bare" AMIGA 1200. A programmer's, artist's, musician's, animator's dream, and just a computer fan's dream. In general, the optimal option for creativity, work, and leisure! Full functionality in the system, fast 3D graphics work. All programs ever written for AMIGA work perfectly. A COMPO machine at many parties. This is our recommended option for home use. Price: 669-769
AMIGA 1200 + Blizzard 1240/40MHz + 1MB Fast - 30 times faster than a "bare" A1200. Buying this AMIGA, you are also buying yourself an Apple MACINTOSH at home - on this AMIGA, this computer is almost fully emulated. Price: 843-943
AMIGA 1200 + Blizzard 1260/50MHz + 32MB Fast - a very fast AMIGA, works 50 times faster than a "bare" A1200. A magnificent computer for rendering, creating 3D animation, semi-professional use. Price: 1219-1319
AMIGA 1200 + Power Blizzard 604e/200MHz + 8MB Fast + Zorro-II + CyberVision 64/3D + genlock - a professional workstation based on a PowerPC processor for creating computer graphics in films, commercials, etc. Non-linear and linear editing and other tricks used in video studios. In general, on this computer, you can do almost everything that the latest technologies in computer graphics allow. By the way, computer graphics for such famous films as TERMINATOR 2, JURASSIC PARK, the series BABYLON 5, STAR TREK, etc. were made on AMIGA.
Price: around 2000 - 2500
AMIGA 4000T - this is a computer for professional use and usually no one buys it for home, as it is too expensive ($2500), and besides, AMIGA 1200 can be expanded to its capabilities. The minimum version of A4000T has a 68040/40MHz processor (30 times faster than a "bare" A1200), graphics and sound like A1200, Zorro-III slots, fast SCSI-II controller, 1MB Fast, HDD SCSI 1.0GB, CD-ROM.
(First price for a used option, and through a dash - the price of a completely new machine!)
Naturally, there are no recommended models for accountants and typists, as this is the domain of PCs and AMIGA does not venture into this niche, although you can count money and print without losses on AMIGA. Programs like WordWorth, PageStream, FinalWriter will allow you to professionally engage in layout and document preparation. In addition, there are quite good emulators for Macintosh and PENTIUM on AMIGA, so...
Prices for models are naturally indicated without a monitor (any AMIGA can be easily connected to a TV or a Spectrum monitor, while working at a resolution of 1280x512!) and hard drive, as various models can be used and their prices can vary widely. CD-ROM can be connected, but this is not a strict necessity.
Genlock - a device that allows you to overlay computer graphics onto video images, etc. Basically, a gadget for video studios. Connects to any AMIGA.
