Spectrofon #13: Assault: 'HIJACK' Game Strategies

┌──────────────────────────────┐
│ ──────── STORM ─────── │
└──────────────────────────────┘

Today we will storm the game "HIJACK", which was featured in the tenth issue of our magazine. We pass the word to our reader from the city of Kirov, Smirnov Vasily Vladimirovich:

I would like to share some discoveries about the program "HIJACK". I have been familiar with this game for over a year and would be glad if what I say below interests someone.

So, the code to open the door in the president's office can be learned from him directly by selecting the "REQUEST TRANSPORT" option in the menu. But this is incredibly difficult, as almost always the president responds to your request with "LEAVE ME ALONE" or "I'M BUSY", or he might even fire you, explaining that you are "getting on his nerves". Then it's game over. However, sometimes, with a high level of "EXP" and "LOYAL", he may drop a hint: "the number you need is ...". This number is the three-digit code for the door in his office.

After entering the code in the presidential office, passing through the door, you will find yourself on the helipad and, upon boarding the helicopter, you will arrive at the scene (to do this, you need to approach the helicopter, and when the cockpit image appears in the lower right window, press "fire"). The flight will take several in-game hours. Then a new menu will appear:

STATUS REPORT - by entering the access code to secret information, you can learn about your resources.

CIA REPORT - information from a CIA agent about the terrorists' demands.

TALK TO HIJACKERS - transition to active actions. A submenu will appear:

*STORM HIJACK - proceed to the storm.
*HAND OVER MONEY - hand over money.
*RELEASE PRISONERS - hand over political prisoners.
*QUIT - exit.

RETURN TO OFFICE - return to the office.

If there is not enough money or political prisoners to meet the terrorists' demands, they will ask: "Where is the rest?". Do not offer a ransom again if you do not gather enough money or political prisoners. The hostages will be killed - the game will end.

You can try to go for the storm, but with insufficient military resources, this will also lead to the death of hostages.

If all the terrorists' demands are met, or they are neutralized by force, the hostages will remain alive. For this, the president will commend you in his note.

You will be awarded a medal and informed of the time spent on the mission. But... the game does not end there! Next, you will be asked to rescue the passengers of a yacht, and after their successful release, the passengers of a plane. And so on until the hostages are killed.

Thus, one of the main tasks of the game is to obtain the access code to the helicopter from the president. By the way, I noticed a very important pattern - the correspondence of various codes to each other. That is, if you find at least one code to secret information, you can immediately determine the code to the door in the president's office.

Below I provide several such code combinations:

After the door to the helipad is opened, the "GO TO HIJACK" option will be activated in the communication menu of some characters, which allows you to send them to the scene. But what role this plays in completing the mission is unclear to me. It is also unclear why the "FIRE YOU" option is never activated... That's all I wanted to say about the game "HIJACK".

"S": Well, thank you for the interesting research. As for the "FIRE YOU" option, let's risk assuming that at the maximum level of all indicators and a large number of completed missions, this option should be activated. Who knows, maybe at some point you will be elected president? And then the "FIRE YOU" option will become your most formidable weapon in dealing with subordinates?
