Nyancat

Note to chiptune players developers. This is a standard .ay file. To enable SAA emulation, just add SAA core to the existing AY core.
There is no single "if" command, just "add". The same way as beeper, CPC and Turbosound were added.
SAA core automatically plays 50Hz music via ports 511, 255.

COP, SAA, CMP file is: [Z80player][musicdata]

I'd forgotten about this one! Do you know any plans for a player to support the format?

Vitamin is author of ZXTune, which is used on ZX-Art for conversion to MP3, and he decides what should be supported. I suggest adding a request for a support directly to issue tracker:
https://bitbucket.org/zxtune/zxtune/issues

How many files there currently are existing in AY container format, that cannot be played otherwise? I think that's the first question Vitamin would ask. There are quite a lot of such files on ZX Spectrum (all beeper tunes and almost all original games music), but what is the situation with SAM?

Guess that question is for Abrimaal, as he made the file :-)

Seems like it's a usual COP file with .AY container signature. Why use .AY container in first place for tracker formats which are already recognizable by ZXTune?
IMHO, .AY container serves best when when tune is implemented in code without clear standard, as it was with old games, for example or with beeper music on ZX Spectrum. Why convert tracker files to .AY container?
For current tune I suggest uploading COP file instead, so it would play instantly without any additional development of ZXTune.

Not even sure I have the original any more! The actual prod is here:

Playable file was replaced by original .cop file extracted back from .ay useless wrapper. Previously used .ay has been stayed intact.

Thanks, that's the best way to resolve the problem.
